Richard Green III Died
Married Martha Howell then Sarah

"Richard Green III (10), son of Richard Green Jr (6), married, first, Martha, daughter of Christopher Howell,
by whom he had a daughter, Martha, wife of
Charles Reeder.
By his second wife,
Sarah, he had: Ely; Mary; Elizabeth; and perhaps others. He lived in Pennsylvania."

"Until about 1798 Richard Green III lived on the farm originally purchased by his great-grandparents,
Joanna & William Green, willed by them to him by his grandfather Richard. He added 200+ acres to the farm, and built Blooming Grove. It still stands on Upper Ferry Road, but is now a dining establishment. Shortly after the death of his father, Richard sold the property to his brother William R. (see image below) and he and wife Sarah moved to his father's Yardley, Pennsylvania home.
The indenture transferring ownership to William R is posted below.

As you drive east from the river on Upper Ferry Road, toward Old Birmingham, Blooming Grove is on the left hand side of the road. Today the street address is 234 W Upper Ferry Road.

Near Right: Blooming Grove, one of Ewing Twp's historic homes;
            currently a restaurant and bar. Bottom photo shows the original old hitching posts dating from Wm and Joanna Green's farm.
