(P.S.- Just an interesting tidbit. The Potts Family (See Marion Louise Potts & John Van Cleve Green) have been in the Ewing area since Pre-Revolution. Col. Johann Gottlieb Rall occupied the Stacy Potts House on Warren Street during the occupation of Trenton,December 1776. Col. Rall was carried to the House after the Battle of Trenton. It was here that Gen. George Washington and Greene (no relation) called on Col.
Rall to offer their sympathy. Washington promised Rall that the prisoners would be well cared for. The Hessian Colonel died before the day was over and was buried in Trenton. The bed where Rall is believed to have died has been passed down through the generations, and since John Van Cleve Green it has always gone to the first born son. The bed is now in our home.
